Applications are invited for the above post based in the Pathology Department, Ninewells Hospital.
The successful applicants will be required to carry out routine laboratory duties across the various sections of the Department; these will include computer data entry, chemical preparation, filing, basic laboratory procedures in support of Biomedical Scientists and general housekeeping whilst under supervision. Candidates should be educated to SVQ level 3 or from applicants who can provide evidence that they have equivalent experience or competencies within a laboratory setting.
We are a progressive, teaching hospital department with an annual workload of approx 25,000 surgical pathology and 2,000 diagnostic cytology requests per annum. The base is at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
Candidates should also have good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team.
