Were working with a GP practice based in a residential area in Preston, currently seeking a part time Practice Nurse to join their experienced and friendly clinical team.
The practice is home to a dynamic team that includes 2 GP partners, 8 salaried GPs, 4 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs, a Paramedic, and a Pharmacist. With excellent administrative support and a strong ethos around patient-centred care, this is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse looking to work in a collaborative and progressive setting.
Key Duties
Conduct chronic disease management clinics, particularly for diabetes and respiratory conditionsAdminister childhood immunisationsCarry out asthma reviews Perform general nursing duties including wound care, cervical cytology, travel vaccinations, and NHS health checksParticipate in health promotion and disease prevention initiativesMaintain accurate and timely patient records using EMIS Web

Key Skills and Qualifications
Strong clinical knowledge and experience in general practice nursingCompetence in chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, diabetes, COPDConfidence using EMIS Web (or willingness to undertake refresher training)Organised and able to manage time effectively in a busy practice environment
