We are inviting applications for 4 Clinical Fellow posts in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with 2 based in Ipswich and 2 in Colchester. These are fixed-term positions ending on 31 Aug 2026, at Middle Grade Level, involving general clinical and administrative responsibilities.
The roles include work on labour ward, antenatal clinic, ambulatory obstetrics, elective caesarean sections, maternity inpatient care, gynaecology outpatient clinics, rapid access clinics, ultrasound scanning, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy, emergency gynaecology, and theatre work, including robotic theatre experience. There will be opportunities for professional development, appraisal, and revalidation.
Applicants must be able to:
* Provide safe services under supervision of on-call Consultants
* Prioritize emergencies and plan patient care accordingly
* Manage Gynaecology emergency department services under supervision
* Run registrar-led clinics alongside Consultants for Gynaecology and Antenatal
* Cover night on-call duties when off-site
* Read CTGs and plan patient management on delivery suite
Main duties include on-call and emergency cover, with a rota of 1:12 during out-of-hours, supported by junior doctors and Consultants. Normal hours are 08:00-17:30, with handovers and on-call responsibilities clearly defined.

Person Specification:
* Essential: MBBS or equivalent, Part 1 and Part 2 MRCOG, Full GMC registration
* Desirable: Higher degree, MOET/ALSO training, PROMPT training
