GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in Sheffield (S11). Role Overview: As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH requirements. You will foster positive relationships, implement behaviour management strategies, and provide a nurturing learning space that encourages progress both academically and personally. As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of SEMH pupils. Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment. Use effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning. Provide emotional support and guidance to help pupils build confidence and resilience. Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external agencies. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare. Requirements for SEMH Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs is highly desirable. Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to teaching. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
