About the role
We are looking for a highly driven and commercially minded Collections Booking Manager to lead and develop our Collection Bookings function. This is a pivotal, client‑facing role where you will work closely with corporate clients to manage bookings, review service offerings, and continuously drive operational improvements across the supply chain.
You will lead a team of Collection Bookings Coordinators, ensuring that all collection activities are delivered efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in line with service commitments. With a strong focus on data, performance, and innovation, you will play a key role in enhancing service delivery while identifying opportunities to optimise costs and improve processes across the network.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a high‑performing team of Collection Bookings Coordinators
* Manage end‑to‑end scheduling of collections, returns, transport, and operational assets in line with SLAs and budgets
* Build strong client relationships, acting as a key contact to review services and drive continuous improvements
* Support onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth integration into the network
* Oversee asset tracking, availability, condition, and reporting across the operation
* Lead peak planning, including forecasting, route optimisation, and cost management
* Analyse data to identify inefficiencies, reduce costs, and improve operational performance
* Drive innovation through new technologies, processes, and supplier collaborations
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence (occasional travel required)
* Experience operating across a multi‑site or complex supply chain environment
* Strong understanding of end‑to‑end logistics and operational processes
* Proven experience in process improvement, business analysis, and implementing efficiencies
* Experience in leading or developing teams in an operational setting
* Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills (including data analysis, reporting, and presentations)
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into practical solutions
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to prioritise effectively and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
* A proactive and solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving
