We are seeking a passionate, creative, and committed Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Teddington, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working in Key Stage 1 and is confident supporting pupils through the important transition from KS1 to lower KS2.

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum, ensuring pupils make strong progress while developing independence, confidence, and a love of learning. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum
* Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments in a supportive and balanced way
* Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Promote positive behaviour and high expectations
* Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers
* Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school events
* Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Have recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2
* Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment
* Be enthusiastic, organised, and reflective in practice
* Have strong classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
* Be dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
