Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a DT Technician.
Working Pattern – 37 hours per week, term time only plus 3 days
We Are Looking For
Technical proficiency
: Skilled in using and maintaining workshop tools, machinery, and CAD/CAM equipment.
Resource management
: Able to prepare, organise, and manage materials and equipment for lessons.
Health & safety awareness
: Knowledgeable about safety protocols, risk assessments, and safe handling of tools
Problem-solving
: Quick to troubleshoot equipment issues and offer practical solutions during lessons.
IT literacy
: Familiar with software used in design and technology.
Attention to detail
: Ensures equipment is properly maintained and lessons run smoothly.
Team player
: Works closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and students to support learning.
Organised
: Keeps track of inventory, orders supplies, and maintains a tidy, functional workspace.
Adaptable
: Able to support across different subjects like science and IT, depending on the school's needs.
Supportive
: Provides guidance to students during practical sessions and helps them understand technical concepts
