Field based Asbestos Analyst / Surveyor
Element has an opportunity to join our growing team based in Stockport, covering the North of England, and work in asbestos surveys, analytical services, management and air testing.
Responsibilities
* Provides technical and legislative knowledge, and supports client and business requirements for asbestos surveying and asbestos management.
* Is accountable for the accurate and timely release of data and certification to clients, including technical review and proposal of guidance for non‑routine situations.
* Oversees more complex technical problem‑solving activities.
* Interacts with customers on technical and legislative issues and questions.
* Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new and existing customers.
* Able to lead asbestos survey work up to industrial refurbishment and demolition surveys competently and without significant guidance or supervision.
* Takes initiative and, in most cases, does not need to wait for further instruction; able to decide on and implement appropriate methods and protocols.
Skills / Qualifications
* As a minimum, applicant should possess BOHS P402, P403 & P404 or equivalent.
* Experience in both air testing and 4‑stage clearances.
* Proven experience working on large, complex industrial surveys and large complex asbestos enclosures (both air monitoring support and 4SC works).
* Proven experience of technical review of asbestos reports and air monitoring documentation.
* Confident approach with good interpersonal skills.
* Flexible attitude with a willingness to travel and stay away from home in remote locations as required.
* Full UK driving licence is essential as regular travel will be required.
