About the Role
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have an essential role within Enable, making a positive difference in the daily lives of the people we support. No two days are the same; you will assist individuals with personal care, moving and handling, positive behavioural support, and help expand their social networks.
Responsibilities
* Assist individuals with personal care – bathing, dressing, toileting, and washing.
* Support mobility and safe moving and handling procedures.
* Provide positive behavioural support to help users maintain routines and reduce challenging behaviour.
* Help users expand their social networks and connections.
* Work collaboratively with a bespoke team to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of those you support are met.
Qualifications and Skills
* Ability to adapt your communication style to develop successful and enjoyable relationships with the people you support.
* Commitment to work with individuals through their personal support plans to ensure they achieve their goals and celebrate successes.
* Positive and flexible outlook, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* No prior care experience required – values and transferable skills are the foundation of our recruitment.
