Join our Revenues Team as a Council Tax Officer, where you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate billing, collection, and enforcement of Council Tax. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update Council Tax records using office systems. Investigate liability and entitlement to discounts, exemptions, and reductions. Issue bills, reminders, and enforcement notices. Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person, including court representation. Liaise with enforcement agents, valuation teams, and other departments. Process payments, refunds, and recovery actions including attachments and insolvency cases. Support junior staff and contribute to service improvements. What We're Looking For: Strong understanding (or willingness to learn) Council Tax legislation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage sensitive data and maintain accurate records.
