Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a growing civil engineering contractor based in Kent, who are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team.
The business operates predominantly within the water sector and has built a strong reputation delivering projects for Thames Water. They act as a contractor across a range of specialist and infrastructure-led schemes, managing subcontract packages and delivering works within live operational environments.
Following a number of recent project wins, they are now looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple schemes.
Current and upcoming projects range in value from £1.5m to £4m, including digester refurbishment works, infrastructure upgrades and specialist process-related schemes. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing projects through to completion, ensuring programme, commercial performance and client expectations are met.
Contracts Manager Position Overview
Oversee the delivery of multiple water-sector projects from pre-construction through to completion
Manage project programmes, subcontractors and overall site performance
Act as the key point of contact for Thames Water
Ensure all project documentation is completed, including RAMS, risk assessments and construction phase plans
Monitor project costs, variations and overall commercial performance
Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and in line with programme
Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance across all sites
Contracts Manager Position Requirements
Experience working as a Contracts Manager within civil engineering or utilities
Previous experience within the water sector, ideally working with Thames Water
Strong understanding of commercial management and subcontractor coordination
Comfortable managing documentation-heavy projects in regulated environments
Good knowledge of health & safety procedures and compliance requirements
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Contracts Manager Position Remuneration
£80,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience)
Hybrid working
Car allowance available for the right candidate
25 days holiday + bank holidays
