Veterinary Receptionist, Northwich Vets, Cheshire.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our front of house team here at Northwich vets. To help with our ever growing team, the role will need to suit a confident, caring and highly efficient person who can work in a fast-paced environment and enjoys communicating with clients and colleagues.
The suitable candidate needs to be able to multitask effectively, combined with a compassionate and approachable manner and have excellent communication skills. The hours are flexible and so we are looking for a candidate who will fit that criteria who has scope to work a flexible shift pattern.
Responsibilities of job include:
· Greeting our clients and their pets, always maintaining a professional and compassionate approach.
· Happy in handling difficult conversations
· Using our practice management system to arrive patients and book appointments.
· Confidence in diary management.
· Answering a high volume of incoming telephone calls, being the first point of contact when dealing with stressed and/or upset clients, dealing with the issues in a timely and compassionate manner.
· Taking payments inhouse and over the telephone.
· Discussing healthcare plans and general enquiries throughout the day, allocating appropriately.
· Ensure waiting rooms are always maintained to a high standard of clinical cleanliness and kept inviting and fresh.
· Handling and dispensing medication (Once vet has dispensed with instructions) handing out to clients and answering any questions when needed.
· Managing and replying to emails in a timely manner.
Requirements of candidate:
Welcoming and friendly manner.
Ideally have veterinary background and/or dealings within veterinary environment
Experience working front of house or in a similar role would be beneficial.
Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Enjoys human interactions.
Flexibility
Strong communication skills with high ability to multi-task.
IT literate.
Works well in a team.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Positive personality.

The role specifics are as follows:
· Part time 30 hours +/- flexible over a number of days, plus one in 8 Saturdays, pm.
· Statutory holiday allowance (based on above hours) which increases with time of service.
