Overview
Alfa Laval UK&I are looking for a Project Engineer. The role can be based in Keele University or Camberley, Surrey, with remote options depending on suitability and location in the UK. Some travel for site visits and meetings is expected. The projects primarily involve Alfa Laval core equipment (decanter centrifuges, belt presses, belt thickeners, drum thickeners).
Responsibilities
You will handle multiple customer projects from order booking to customer handover, support and advise the sales teams during the bid phase to ensure customer specifications and technical constraints are met, and ensure Alfa Laval is positioned to deliver. You will move projects from kick-off through design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning, coordinating with internal functions to meet purchasing and invoicing processes. You will manage time and resources to deliver on time, on spec, and on budget, and delegate tasks to a support resource as needed. You will be commercially responsible for the project, keeping accurate records and providing robust justification for deviations and changes.
What You Know / Qualifications
* Appreciation of engineering fundamentals.
* Experience in project delivery with a proven track record.
* Technical qualifications and/or significant time in engineering-related roles.
* Background with Alfa Laval products would be desirable, particularly in separation, dewatering, or thickening.
* Good understanding of Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with SharePoint is preferable.
* Experience operating in an NEC project environment.
* Appreciation of policy and procedures.
* Full driving licence.
