Team Manager - Environmental Enforcement Officer Location: Liverpool City Council Pay: £15 per hour Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week (including some weekends) About the Role Are you ready to take the next step in your enforcement career? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to lead and support a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll patrol alongside your team, provide guidance, monitor performance, and ensure high standards of professionalism and compliance across daily operations. About Us Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) is a leading provider working with Local Authorities to combat issues like fly-tipping, littering, and dog fouling. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and extensive industry experience, WISE is dedicated to maintaining clean and safe boroughs. What You’ll Do Lead, support, and motivate a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers Patrol public areas and outer boroughs to identify and address environmental offences Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) in line with legislation and council policy Monitor team performance, report outcomes, and ensure accurate record-keeping Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and daily briefings Liaise with council officers, members of the public, and internal management Promote awareness and educate the public on environmental responsibilities What We’re Looking For Previous experience in environmental enforcement or a similar role Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a large team Confident, resilient, and professional when engaging with the public Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions A full UK driving licence is preferred What We Offer £15 per hour, full-time permanent contract 45 hours per week, including weekend shifts, between 8am–6pm 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Pension scheme, uniform, and comprehensive training provided Opportunities for further progression within WISE Employee recognition schemes and support from experienced managers Next Step If you’re a natural leader who wants to make a real impact in your community, apply now and help us lead the way in keeping your council clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone!
