Offer description

To manage a team of several engineers in the SY/LL postcodes and to assist the RSM with tasks as required.

Open to all engineers to apply within the NW.

Ensure the day-to-day efficient & productive running of the engineering team within the designated area. Play an active part in the leadership of the team by being the first point of contact with the Engineers for all issues, dealing with these issues where possible and escalating to your direct management where appropriate.

To ensure continuous communication between the team leader and service controller to maximise the efficient day-to-day running of the team.

To ensure KPI management of the team and make adjustments and additions where required.

To manage third-party suppliers on site and throughout the supply process.

Ensure high team morale and individual team member acknowledgment is maintained at all times.

To support the Service Manager in planning and completing annual engineer appraisals and training plans in conjunction with company guidelines.

To be responsible for providing cover for breakdowns and service on customer FLTs where required.

To take on any additional duties as required to ensure smooth running of the department & any other duties within your capacity, skill, and expertise.

Attend all team and individual meetings as requested.

Attend all training deemed necessary to carry out your responsibilities.

Ensure ongoing self-development commensurate with the position held.

Ensure that company standards and policies are maintained, particularly regarding behavioral and commercial dealings.

Observe all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures on Company, Supplier, and Customer sites.

Comply with Company Health and Safety policy.

Ensure all activities meet with our KION Code of Compliance.


Tasks and Qualifications:

* Recognized engineering qualification
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to understand processes and work in a structured way following defined procedures
* IT skills including a good working knowledge of SAP K1SS, Microsoft Word, and Excel
* Planning (self-organization) and organizational skills
* Team player, honest, reliable, and approachable
