Property Services Officer
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 40 hours per week. Weekly Rotating Shifts – the role requires a flexible approach to working hours that meets the needs of the Academy and Trust.
Salary: Pathway 2, £27,227 – £28,998 per annum

Your role:
As a Property Services Officer, you’ll be at the heart of Thomas Deacon Academy’s operations ensuring the security, safety, and functionality of our buildings and grounds. From managing heating systems and supporting contractors to carrying out essential maintenance and porterage duties, your work will directly support the daily life of students and staff. You’ll also play a key role in upholding health and safety standards and responding to the practical needs of the academy with initiative and care.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the security, safety, and functionality of the Academy’s buildings and grounds.
* Manage heating systems and support contractors.
* Carry out essential maintenance and porterage duties.
* Uphold health and safety standards and respond to the practical needs of the academy with initiative and care.
Qualifications
* Experience in maintenance or a similar role.
* Confidence using a range of tools and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A full clean driving licence.
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
* Relevant trade qualification or experience in an educational setting (bonus).
