What You’ll Be Doing
* Loading and offloading of vehicles and general sortation of consignments
* Accurate checking and scanning of items out for delivery on and reporting of any discrepancies to your line Manager
* Undertake daily vehicle checks and report any problems
* Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards and health & safety procedures.
* Communicate any issues that arise to your line manager throughout the day
* End of day – return to depot, unload and labelling of non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT
* Driver debrief with Manager on duty
* Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day
* Sort non-deliveries and collections into designated areas
* Heavy Lifting required
What We’re Looking For
·Previous experience of multi drop deliveries
·Excellent geographical knowledge of the area
·Good time keeping
·Excellent customer service skills
·Confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person
·Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
·Full driving licence
·Valid DBS check must be provided
·Experience with HHTs
Salary: £12.25 per hour
Location: Redruth
Hours: Monday – Friday – Various hours
(May include some Saturdays)
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Holiday: 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays). Holiday benefit – For every continuous year you’re with us, you’ll receive an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of five.
Contract: Temporary over peak period
