Clinical Lead Physiotherapist for Older People's Mental Health (OPMH)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health physiotherapist to deliver high quality, evidence‑based physiotherapy for patients with mental health problems as part of our Rotherham Services.
We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Physiotherapist into a clinical leadership role. You would be joining an established progressive, forward‑thinking service. The role will involve working alongside and supporting physiotherapists and other care professionals primarily within the Rotherham Care Group, across the inpatients mental health units.
Responsibility
* Deliver high quality, evidence‑based physiotherapy to patients with mental health problems.
* Work alongside and support physiotherapists and other care professionals across the Rotherham Care Group in inpatients mental health units.
* Promote the role of physiotherapy in line with the National Mental Health Physiotherapy Strategy and NICE Guidance.
* Deliver at the highest level of clinical reasoning and work as part of an integrated team.
* Demonstrate highly developed specialist clinical expertise, organisational and communication skills.
* Support clinical leadership and management development and contribute to the ongoing development of Older People’s Mental Health Services.
Qualifications
* Band 7 Physiotherapist (or experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist seeking progression to Band 7) with clinical leadership capacity.
* Appropriate demonstrable post‑graduate experience.
* Experience working with clients with mental health problems, within acute medicine, orthopaedics, elderly care and pain management is desirable.
* Effective communicator with flexible problem‑solving approach.
