Trainee/Junior Legal Cashier Based in Buckinghamshire - exact location disclosed before submission Trainee/Junior Legal Cashier Based in Buckinghamshire - exact location disclosed before submission Full-time hours - 1 day working from home after probation and training Free parking Key Responsibilities of Junior Legal Cashier: Process accounting transactions, both payments received and sent, by bank transfer, cheque, or other means. Client/Office ledger postings Monitoring bank accounts for incoming receipts Check for errors and report any account breaches. Invoice clients for work done and chase overdue monies. Maintain separate client and office ledgers. Ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations. Liaise with compliance officers, clients, auditors, regulators, suppliers and banking providers. Processing and posting of incoming/outgoing payments by cheque and BACS/TT, Resolving accounts queries, Daily bank account reconciliations Sending TT’s, BACS and online payments with attention to detail Dealing with clients when receiving payments. Assisting the Legal Cashier, Senior Legal Cashier and Finance Manager Together with other ad hoc duties as required. The ideal Junior Legal Cashier Candidate: The ideal Trainee Legal Cashier will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and enjoy working in a challenging, busy and professional environment. Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems Working with people: You will need to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and maintain professional relationships. Communication skills: You will need to be able to express yourself both in person and in writing. Eye for detail: As you will be working with money, you will need to demonstrate a high level of accuracy. Problem solving: You will need to have sound judgement and demonstrate a logical decision-making process when dealing with problems. Organisation: You should be an organised individual with the ability to manage your own workload. IT skills: Most of your tasks will be carried out electronically, so you will need a good level of computer literacy, especially with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel. Experience: Previous experience in legal accounts or legal cashiering roles.
