Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Stockton-On-Tees
Contract Type: Long Term Temporary
Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Middlesbrough. This school caters to pupils aged 4 to 11 with a range of learning difficulties, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school provides specialist provision for pupils across the Stockton-On-Tees borough. The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30. Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you.
The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children with additional needs and have relevant experience or transferable skills. Graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
 * Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities
 * Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support
 * Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
 * Have a background working in education or relevant experience
 * Experience working with children with SEND or vulnerable individuals
 * Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit students of different abilities
