Role Description
· Teaching (and assistant teaching) of Arabic literacy and general subjects using Arabic language across assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
· Contributing towards developing the school's Arabic curriculum
· Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils
· Working in partnership with parents, school and other professionals
· Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development
· Participating in issues related to Arabic school planning, raising achievement and individual review;
· Establish good working relationships with all staff and to liaise with them as necessary.
· Play a full part in the life of the School and carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Headteacher
Person Specification
· Proven teaching (or teaching assistant) experience, especially working with Primary aged children.
· Excellent communication skills. Good command of Arabic (speaking/writing) is required. Good English language skills.
· The ability to teach with enthusiasm, in order to motivate pupils to be interested in, and committed to their work.
· Proven ability to promote strong, positive ethos and maintain high standards of behaviour and levels of attainment and achievement across the classroom.
· Understanding of current safeguarding, child protection issues and legislation.
