A vacancy have arisen within the Day Surgery Unit at the Churchill Hospital or a full-time Ward Administrator. We are looking for a motivated individual who would enjoy working in a challenging busy environment providing a comprehensive administrative service. The post holder will work closely with patients coming into the Unit and all relevant staff members.
The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with a diverse range of people in a sensitive and confidential manner. Good organisational and IT skills are essential and experience of EPR (Electronic Patient Records) would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
To provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical support to the Day Surgery Unit Team in accordance with the departmental and Trust standards. To keep a well organised system and ensure processes are kept up to date to aid smooth patient care from admission to discharge. To provide support and guidance to all colleagues internally and externally in and professional and informed manner.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to team work, and to have a flexible approach to working hours with covering for your team members with sickness and annual leave. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to work independently as well as part of a small admin team.
