Overview:
Alexander Associates are supporting a leading contractor within the water sector in the appointment of a Project Controller. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination, administration, and tracking of project activities across a portfolio of works.
You will act as a central point of support to project teams, ensuring data is accurately managed, processes are followed, and key actions are driven through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative support across multiple projects
Maintain and update project documentation, trackers, and reporting systems
Monitor project progress and proactively chase actions, deliverables, and updates from internal and external stakeholders
Support project managers with planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities
Ensure accurate data management across project platforms and systems
Prepare reports, dashboards, and status updates for senior stakeholders
Assist with document control and ensure compliance with internal processes
Coordinate meetings, capture minutes, and track follow-up actions
Support cost tracking, purchase orders, and general project-related administration where required
Requirements:
Previous experience in a project support, project coordinator, or project controller role
Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
Experience working within utilities, water, engineering, or infrastructure environments is desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and project management systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise and follow up with stakeholders at all levels
Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
