We are looking for a DevOps engineer to work on customer projects.
Responsibilities
* Analyze current technology utilized within customer contracts and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
* Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
* Understand stakeholder needs and convey them to developers.
* Automate and improve development and release processes.
* Test and examine code written by others, analyze results.
* Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.
* Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
* Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended.
* Establish milestones for contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate collaboration.
* Work closely with engineering professionals to maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services for project completion.
* Mentor and train other engineers and continually improve processes.
Requirements
* Experience in DevOps engineering for large enterprises or public sector.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Knowledge of programming languages.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Clear understanding of DevOps and Agile principles.
* Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
* Experience in AWS or Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms.
* Experience in containerised environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
* Experience with software engineering and customer experience.
* Experience working with cross‑department teams.
* Demonstrated project development and leadership skills.
* UK Security Clearance (SC) required.
* Azure DevOps (ADO), ARM templates, CI/CD pipelines, YAML, Git, Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Jenkins, Azure Networking, AWS role requirements, etc.
Education & Experience
* At least 3+ years in engineering, architecture, or operational role delivering cloud services.
* Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field.
