The Pharmaceutical Society NI is seeking to recruit Statutory and Scrutiny Committee Members About the Pharmaceutical Society NI The Pharmaceutical Society NI is the regulator for pharmacists and pharmacy premises in Northern Ireland. Our mission is to ensure safe, high-quality services for patients as a modern, trusted and responsive regulator. The Council of the Pharmaceutical Society NI is responsible for the appointment of the fitness to practise Committees, which include the Statutory and Scrutiny Committees. Members will be appointed by the Council in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice following the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976 and The Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (Statutory Committee, Scrutiny Committee and Advisers) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012. These appointments will serve to protect patients and to act in the wider public interest. Tenure: Term of office is four years with the possibility of one renewal (subject to legislative change). Time Commitment:We envisage that members of the Committee may be required for up to 10 days per year. Fee Structure:Attendance Rate for appointees is £500 per day for Chair or Deputy when acting as Chair, £250 per day for Lay and Registrant Members when attending meetings as Committee Members. Location:Meetings and hearings will normally take place in Society House, 73 University Street, Belfast BT7 1HL, with expectation of attendance in-person and travel as necessary.
