Role Details: Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £52,659 per annum Location: This is a home-based role with national and/or regional travel as required Role Summary: Specifically, the Regional Partnerships and Relationships Lead will have oversight of; developing Regional Plans that drive operational implementation of a more place-based approach to working across the gymnastics, as the key point of contact regionally for clubs, schools and leisure providers. The Regional Partnerships and Relationships Lead will bring together the wider Regional Team for meetings to share insight, prioritise actions and drive forward the things that matter most for the gymnastics community. Regional Plan, Places Strategic Plan and wider business objectives. * Please refer to the Role Profile for Full details * Working closely with the Registration and Key Account Manager to drive standards and grow the sport regionally. The Regional Partnerships and Relationships Lead support the National Partnerships and Places Lead, who will be a member of the British Gymnastics Investment (BGI) Board, to identify opportunities for place development and investment relevant to the R Main Areas of Responsibility: 1. Place-based Working, Governance and Safe Sport Work with other Leads across the business to implement, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new matrix ways of working In partnership with the Safe Sport and Governance Team, implement initiatives to celebrate great governance and monitor minimum governance standards across member environments (e.g. re-imagined Club Mark) and safeguard poor practice and malpractice through announced and unannounced interventions Implement systems, tools and processes to capture and evidence impact of localised ways of working and generate insight and data with the Head of Social Impact and Insight to evidence return on investment 2. Facility/Place Development and Sport Growth Support the implementation of the Places Strategic Plan Work with the Places Development Manager to road map identified growth areas strategically for place investment and development, helping the National Partnerships and Places Lead with investment applications in readiness for BGI Board and Investment Committee Meetings Via the Regional Plan and Regional Team ways of working, identify and prioritise localised need and align resources to deliver need based on local intelligence that can help grow the capacity of the sport through more and better facilities and venues sport and provide positive impact for members 3. Partnerships and Relationships Implement mechanisms to generate insight and develop Regional Plans, supporting the development and implementation of a National Strategic Plan for developing the sport and its people Establish Regional and Local partnerships with Active Partnerships, Local Authorities and the School Sport Partnership Network Work collaboratively with wider Sport and People Development directorate colleagues and wider business to map areas of focus to tackle inequality and inclusion 4. Stakeholder Management and Leadership / Wider responsibilities Key point of operational contact for regional organisations including Active Partnerships, local authorities, School Sport Partnerships, schools, clubs and leisure providers Forecasting/monitoring/managing funding streams and budgets, allocating/re-allocating funding to specific projects/activities, as appropriate Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures Handling escalated complaints, investigating Role Requirements 1. Knowledge, Skills and Expertise This role requires the holder to be committed to developing an appreciation of gymnastics that can be applied across the range of disciplines. However, their primary function to be an implementer of strategic change and operational ways of working through convening the Regional Team and via critical relationships and stakeholder partnerships. The knowledge, skills and expertise they will need include but are not limited to: Chairing meetings and convening stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities to celebrate success Exceptional relationship building, stakeholder management and influencing skills Exceptional people and performance management skills Good budgeting and budget management skills Excellent strategic and operational planning skills Excellent administration, project management and IT skills Conflict resolution and the ability to hold productive but challenging conversations 2. People This role will not require the holder to formally line manage other but requires significant process and project management skills aligned with convening the Regional Team around priorities at a regional and local level, to share knowledge with colleagues, budget holders and project teams. 3. Shaping Direction The role holder will work with the Head of Partnerships and Programming, National Partnerships and Programming Lead and other leaders in the immediate directorate and across the business to actively engage with and contribute to the operational direction of the directorate, aligned to business objectives. 4. Developing Solutions This role requires the holder to operationally lead the scoping and implementation of a range of solutions and products in support of business objectives and directorate priorities. Prioritising activities/work programmes in order to achieve/deliver in a number of key areas Collating insight, monitoring and evaluation and wider feedback to inform operational direction and priorities Developing relationships and partnership ways of working with internal and external at a regional and local level 5. Decision Making This role requires the holder to make operational decisions in relation to their own work programme and make decisions that impact the effectiveness of the directorate. They will also be required to make strategic decisions on a Regional and Local level, supporting National decisions alongside the National Partnerships and Places Lead. 6. Communicating An advanced communicator, who listens to the needs and wants of key stakeholders, collaborating regionally and locally through internal and external partners to develop and implement meaningful impact with the community and enhance member experience and connection to British Gymnastics.
