This warm and inclusive primary school in Gateshead is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can bring consistency and confidence across the school. It’s an excellent opportunity for ECTs seeking to strengthen core classroom skills in a less pressurised role.
From phonics groups to maths interventions, you’ll play a key role in helping pupils feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting teachers across KS1 and KS2
2. Working 1:1 and in small groups to boost progress and confidence
3. Using clear behaviour strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
4. Helping pupils feel safe, settled, and ready to learn
5. Collaborating with staff to adapt learning and celebrate success

6. ECTs or experienced classroom practitioners
7. Strong behaviour management skills
8. A calm, adaptable approach
9. Passion for inclusive education
10. Experience with SEND (desirable)
