Your role will be to support and play a key part in undertaking complex M&A Technology assignments. You will support our M&A Tech team in developing and delivering our AI focused M&A products within our Strategy, Risk & Transaction Advisory business. The work will centre on the assessment of AI and the implications on buy-side, sell-side, IPO and re-financing projects from inception to completion to identify value creation opportunities driven by AI and the ability of an organisation to deliver their strategy and roadmap.

Responsibilities:
As a Director within the team, you will lead M&A Technology strategy and execution of our AI focused products across Deloitte's Strategy, Risk and Transaction Advisory team.
Lead engagements for AI due diligence and the identification and assessment of technology value creation opportunities that can be driven by AI e.g., IT synergies, cost savings, revenue growth potential from digital assets, operational efficiencies and wider enterprise savings that are delivered by AI.
Lead engagements with a focus on assessing client / target AI roadmaps, their internal capability and the maturity and suitability of architecture and data structures to determine scalability and business impact.
Lead client engagements by onboarding the M&A tech team, coordinating the engagement and deliverables with internal peer groups, oversee the engagement and deliverables within the M&A Tech team, ensure timeliness, quality and efficient delivery of high-quality client deliverables and pursuit of follow-on opportunities.
Build strong relationships with PE funds and corporate clients, aligning AI transformation initiatives with their strategic objectives.
Lead technology focused transaction support engagements with Corporate and Private Equity clients on buy and sell side, both pre and post deal.
Lead the development of detailed technology change implementation plans, linked to financial benefit tracking to support enterprise-wide value creation plans.
Work with Management teams to identify opportunities for AI and other Technology solutions to enhance value within an organisation and determine the full suite of changes required to achieve successful implementation. This will be part of pre-deal due diligence (both product and technology diligence) and post deal engagements.
Lead and manage engagements assisting Technology workstreams to fulfil their programme objectives and delivered.
Experience of financial modelling, valuation and due diligence for M&A transactions.
Proven track record of leading complex technology transactions, including sourcing, negotiating, and integrating deals.
Engage with colleagues and client senior management to drive the completion of key activities, management of risks and issues and facilitation of decision making.
Develop and communicate a market leading point of view on how technology and AI can deliver value creation opportunities within Technology functions and the wider enterprise. Both pre-deal with AI due diligence and in post-deal engagements.
Research and analyse IT information including cost data, supplier contracts, licencing agreements and qualitative information.
Take ownership for quality and corporate risk management, ensuring that all client work is delivered consistently complying with Deloitte quality and risk rules and guidelines.
Contribute to practice and business development activities e.g. through the development of thought leadership material and/or sales materials and networking across Deloitte and externally.
Build, manage and mentor a diverse, high-performing team of M&A Technology practitioners focusing on AI expertise.

Connect to your skills and professional experience
Essential
Extensive experience in delivery of technology value creation activities in top-tier corporate institution(s) or consulting firm(s)- looking at IT synergies, cost savings, revenue growth potential from digital assets, operational efficiencies and wider enterprise savings.
Proven track record of identifying, quantifying and delivering AI driven value creation cases and implementation plans within corporate or private equity institutions.
Extensive experience of the M&A process / transaction lifecycle / deal process and various parties within it.
Experience of building, leading and coaching internal or external project teams.
Proficiency in delivering change management and transformation initiatives e.g. technology or business process changes.
Experience of financial modelling, valuation and due diligence for M&A transactions.
Proven track record of delivery of complex technology transactions, including sourcing, negotiating, and integrating deals with strong knowledge of technology markets, and AI.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation, internally and externally.
Strong facilitation and consensus building skills.
Excellent financial and analytical skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior stakeholders, conveying the benefits and implications of Technology change to diverse audiences.
Full travel mobility.

Desirable:
Strong focus and knowledge of a particular business sector business or functional area.
