About the role
Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead our organisational response to Awaab's Law, ensuring we deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality homes for our customers.
This is a pivotal role that will shape how SNG responds to the regulatory changes surrounding damp and mould in social housing. You will design, implement and continuously refine our approach, ensuring our services are compliant, data-driven and centred on delivering the best outcomes for residents.
* Lead SNG's strategic response to Awaab's Law, ensuring effective, compliant and customer-focused service delivery.
* Develop and implement a coordinated strategy, policy framework and operational approach for managing damp and mould in customers' homes.
* Work with Heads of Service across the organisation to deliver a service improvement plan addressing the operational impacts of the legislation.
* Develop and oversee data analytics and reporting frameworks to monitor compliance and performance.
* Use insight and systems to identify risks, support decision-making and improve services across operational teams.
* Coordinate activity across directorates to ensure consistent organisational responses to regulatory requirements.
* Work closely with technology and data teams to maximise the use of existing and emerging digital systems.
* Provide guidance, training and briefings to colleagues on Awaab's Law requirements and best practice.
* Support operational teams in areas such as hazard identification, case management and customer communication.
* Develop internal and customer communication and education programmes relating to damp, mould and property hazards.
* Monitor the external regulatory environment and ensure organisational strategies remain aligned with legislation and best practice.
* Produce reports and updates for senior governance groups including Executive Board, Board and resident governance forums.
You will likely bring:
* Experience using data analytics tools such as Power BI to generate insight and inform strategic programmes.
* Experience working with housing management, asset management, or repairs & maintenance systems.
* Knowledge of housing legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks, particularly around damp and mould.
* Experience delivering projects, service improvements or regulatory change programmes.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to turn data into actionable solutions.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams and senior stakeholders.
* Ability to work effectively in a complex and fast-moving regulatory environment.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to develop policies, strategies and structured programmes.
* Good understanding of data quality, data governance and information security principles.
* Membership of a professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), or willingness to work towards this, is encouraged.
