CASUAL SITE SERVICES OFFICER – CASTLE PHOENIX TRUST
Salary: Grade 4 – £13.47 per hour plus holiday pay
Hours: Casual. To work a range of hours between 7am – 7pm (to be agreed as and when required). Up to 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), all year round.
Overview
Our Casual Site Services Officer role is key to the effective running of the schools across the Trust. This role is varied and involves providing a quick response to general maintenance calls, manual handling and lifting, janitorial, monitoring and security duties. There will be a need to cover the opening and closing of sites, including working split shifts, which may be subject to short notice and supporting evening, weekend and school holiday lettings across sites. Flexibility is required to support all schools within the Trust in relation to Site Services jobs, and therefore travel will be required. The role will require driving a minibus and therefore the successful candidate will need to have held a driving license for at least 2 years.
Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to general maintenance and site service requests across Trust schools.
* Carry out janitorial, monitoring and security duties as required.
* Open and close sites; cover short notice shifts and support evenings, weekends and school holidays.
* Travel between sites within the Trust to support Site Services needs.
* Operate a minibus as part of site duties, with a valid driving license held for at least 2 years.
* Engage in repairs and maintenance activities where appropriate.
* Participate in staff development and training opportunities offered by the Trust.
Qualifications and requirements
* Enthusiastic, committed and with a can-do attitude; experience of repairs and maintenance in a similar environment is desirable.
* Willingness to travel between Trust sites and support all schools within the Trust’s estates needs.
* Full driving license (minibus driving experience preferred or willing to obtain as required).
