Reporting to the Service Manager and Head of Service, we are looking for an experienced Team Manager to work in our Children's First Contact Service. You will be responsible for the day to day running of a CFCS/MASH service, providing direction and management oversight of Social Workers and supporting staff. Our objective is to ensure the children are at the centre of our recommendations and decision making.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing a team of Social Workers, being responsible for compliance with practice standards, legal frameworks and policy.
2. Work with partners in the Borough including health, education, voluntary sector and others to create joint up plans to support young people
3. Ensuring that your staff and the team of staff in which you are based are equipped with the knowledge, skills and support to undertake their role.
About Us
Sutton’s Children’s First Contact Service is a single point of contact for all early help and children’s social care services, support for children through to identifying children in need and child protection matters.
Sutton’s Children’s First Contact Service aims to ensure a consistent and efficient response to referrals received by Children’s Services. The Children’s First Contact Service co-ordinates incoming referrals and seeks to ensure that they follow the appropriate pathway for the child's needs according to Pan London's threshold matrix.
