Job Purpose:
Following sustained growth over the last 5 years, we require a Head of Business Development to drive sales and marketing activities aligned with our key business objectives. The role involves developing and overseeing our commercial strategy, working with Directors to prioritize and execute projects to facilitate growth.
We welcome candidates with diverse experience; potential is valued alongside experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, outgoing, and possess strong branding, marketing, sales, and customer relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with our Directors to develop and refine our commercial strategy to surpass growth targets.
2. Lead the business development team to increase leads, improve lead conversion, and manage pipelines effectively to achieve significant income growth across our portfolio.
3. Drive income growth by leveraging market, industry, and economic opportunities in line with set targets, budgets, and KPIs.
4. Promote innovation and thought leadership through research, insights, and active participation in sector discussions, interest groups, and external affairs.
5. Represent PARCOR externally through presentations and speaking engagements, building relationships with prospects and stakeholders.
6. Create and manage social media strategies and campaigns, supporting content creation such as blogs, press releases, and literature to position PARCOR as a thought leader.
7. Research and secure new business tenders, frameworks, DPS, and accreditations.
8. Organize and coordinate business and social events.
9. Act as a brand ambassador, enhancing our corporate brand.
10. Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to shape strategic business development activities and sector penetration.
11. Manage relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
12. Coach and manage team members to drive income growth, ensuring effective lead generation and progression.
13. Develop sector knowledge and understand core client needs.
14. Participate in senior management meetings, contribute to organizational strategy, and be involved in project teams and business planning.
15. Coordinate with other departments to ensure successful launch of new products and services.
16. Work with marketing and other teams to articulate our value proposition clearly to prospective clients.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* A degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related fields.
* An MBA or similar qualification.
* Experience in Social Housing, Surveying, and Retrofit sectors.
* Capabilities in branding and marketing.
* Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work cross-functionally towards common goals.
* Proactive in identifying new marketing and business opportunities.
* Experience in sales pipeline management and proven income growth.
* Understanding of the sales process and sector networks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent public speaking, presentation, questioning, listening, and communication skills.
* Effective time management and leadership abilities.
