Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer on a full time, permanent basis. In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £35,155 per annum.
The Health and Safety Officer Role:
As the Health and Safety Officer, you will report to the Health and Safety Manager and play a key role in ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across all college activities, including work experience placements and apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Officer:
Compliance & Monitoring
* Ensure Health and Safety compliance for all work experience placements, T-Levels, and apprenticeships by conducting checks and maintaining online Employer Compliance Forms and tracking systems in line with legislation and College policies.
Site & Placement Assessments
* Undertake site visits to high-risk employer locations, as directed by the Health and Safety Manager, to confirm suitability and adherence to required safety standards for student placements.
Risk Assessment Management
* Support the development, review, and ongoing maintenance of risk assessments and COSHH assessments covering college activities
