Senior Manager, Supply Chain & Operations, UK

Key Responsibilities
* Build, maintain and strengthen client relationships as a trusted advisor in supply chain areas (operations, planning, procurement, manufacturing).
* Lead problem solving with clients and project teams, managing projects to completion.
* Develop relationships across multiple clients over time while maintaining focus on current project delivery.
* Contribute to proposal development showcasing leading practices.
* Engage the market with thought leadership and public profile, enhancing methodologies.
* Work across internal sectors and account teams to develop your network.
* Support successful delivery of projects and workstreams on schedule and budget.
* Ensure quality delivery exceeds client expectations by managing activities and deliverables.
* Manage and nurture people, providing career counseling and inclusive leadership.
Experience & Technical Skills
Typical Senior Managers bring practical experience from professional services or industry backgrounds, with technical skill focus on:
* Supply Chain Transformation – end‑to‑end transformation experience, design, setup and delivery.
* Digital Supply Chain / Supply Chain Technology – implementation of planning, manufacturing, procurement systems, next‑gen technologies such as RPA, cognitive automation and AI.
* Supply Chain Planning – functional experience in demand and supply planning, S&OP, segmentation strategy, inventory optimisation, production scheduling; technology experience with OMP, Kinaxis, o9, Aera, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4 HANA.
* Commercial & Procurement – strategic, operational or transactional procurement across the purchasing lifecycle; experience with SAP Ariba.
* Operating Model Transformation – end‑to‑end operating model experience covering vision, design, transformation and implementation.
* Supply Chain Strategy – operating model design, segmentation strategy and inventory optimisation.
Qualifications
Professional body membership or qualifications (e.g. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), International Association of Commercial & Contract Management (IACCM) or equivalent) are valued.
