Electrical Installation Course Leader
Location: Swadlincote (DE11). Salary: £28,870.00 - £36,590.00 Per Annum. Position: Permanent. Start: ASAP or September 2026. Hours: Full Time (Part Time considered). Teaching on Level 2, T Levels and Level 3.
Overview
Long Term Futures is partnering with a Further Education provider in Swadlincote (DE11) to appoint an experienced Electrical Installation Course Leader on a Permanent basis. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across Level 2, T Level, and Level 3 Electrical Installation programmes, supporting learners to achieve excellent outcomes in both practical and theoretical components, while also taking a lead role in course coordination and development.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging Electrical Installation lessons across Level 2, T Level, and Level 3 courses.
* Lead on course planning, organisation, and quality assurance processes.
* Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with awarding body requirements.
* Monitor attendance, retention, achievement, and learner progress.
* Develop and deliver specialist industry-related courses as required.
* Support learners in developing practical skills and industry knowledge.
* Work collaboratively within the Construction and Engineering department.
Qualifications
* Enhanced DBS on the update service.
* Availability to start ASAP.
* A recognised Electrical Installation qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Recent teaching experience within an FE setting (desirable).
* Experience delivering Electrical Installation up to Level 3 (T Level experience desirable).
* Qualification or willingness to work towards Level 2 English and Maths (evidence required).
* Ability to manage course delivery and maintain accurate records.
* Up-to-date industry knowledge and vocational competence.
