About the role
The role is working within a rapidly growing personal lines pricing and underwriting team within Atlanta, we operate as the in house insurer for Atlanta and manage insurance products for Car (Standard + Telematics), Van, Household and Pet insurance. The technical modelling team is responsible for developing new modelling techniques and processes, and building and refreshing the risk models that underpin our rates that need to operate effectively in the aggregator channels.
You will lead the development, creation and maintenance of market competitive pricing models using predictive modelling(GLM, GBM and other ML methods).
Contribute to the development of effective model monitoring framework with ongoing responsibility for its upkeep, accuracy and consistency of use and contribute towards the build of efficient of future modelling processes.
You will lead on projects, taking ownership, working effectively with other teams to achieve business targets. Work closely with data colleagues to specify and deliver accurate and suitable datasets for modelling and contribute to the development of the modelling roadmap in line with the vision and long-term goals of the company. Working with the Portfolio Management and Underwriting teams on risk appetite, product development and innovation, you will ensure that pricing models have the appropriate level of expert input.
Experience required
1. Extensive experience working in Personal Lines pricing
2. Extensive knowledge of predictive modelling techniques including GLM and GBM and/or ML techniques
3. Significant experience using WTW Emblem and Radar software including the build and development of Radar models.
4. Advanced knowledge of (some) UK Personal Lines Insurance markets
5. Proven track record of embracing and thriving in a fast-paced environment of constant change
6. MS Office Suite. Advanced user of MS Excel and Powerpoint
7. Experience using SQL, R or Python preferred
