Applications are invited for the position of part-time Phlebotomy Manager, Ninewells Hospital. This is an opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a busy department, within an established team of phlebotomists who deliver a 5 day service for outpatients and a 7 day service for in-patients throughout Ninewells Hospital.
Extensive phlebotomy experience, with previous experience in a healthcare environment is essential. You will be required to support the team and take blood samples by venepuncture as required. Previous leadership experience, good team working, time management, communication and interpersonal skills are also essential. We are looking for someone who is keen to further their own personal development, as well as being skilled in training and developing others.
You will be based in the Phlebotomy department at Ninewells Hospital, working alongside the current Phlebotomy Manager, then alternate days once fully trained. This is a permanent post, working onsite 24 hours / week over 3 weekdays between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00. Flexibility in working pattern will be required, particularly during induction and training and for service coverage during holiday periods.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
