About the role
Local Environment Services delivers a range of services to the communities of Ceredigion. To assist with the delivery of these front-line services, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team.
Under the general direction of the Waste Manager or Street Scene Manager, the post holder will be expected to:
1. manage a team of Environment Operatives
2. deliver the front-line waste collection/street cleaning service
3. meet the needs of service users
4. work as a team to ensure a clean and healthy local environment
The hours of work are:
5. 8:00 – 16:00 Monday-Thursday
6. 8:00 – 15:30 Friday
Our ideal candidate would have a full driving licence and experience of managing operational teams and wants to help us to keep Ceredigion clean.

7. Transport Services: Corporate transport; Fleet management; Parking Services; Harbours.
8. Highways Maintenance: Cyclic and Routine Maintenance; Emergency response; Highways inspection; Winter service.
9. Highways Development: Planning liaison; Road safety; Regional transport; Street lighting; Streetworks; Traffic management; CWIC/NMWTRA; Design supervision; Flood and coastal risk management; Highways improvement.
10. Local Environment Services: Waste Collections; Household waste sites; Grounds maintenance; Street cleaning.
