Are you ready to shape the future of pharmacy across a whole health system? This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior strategic leadership role within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, influencing clinical services, workforce transformation and patient outcomes. You will serve as the Head of Pharmacy Clinical Services & Workforce Development Lead, championing innovation, developing the pharmacy workforce of the future and ensuring services deliver the highest standards of safe, effective, and patient‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic professional leadership to the pharmacy department, ensuring pharmacy teams deliver safe, efficient and standardised services.
* Shape the future workforce by collaborating with partners, including HEIW, to develop and deliver a clear vision for pharmacy workforce transformation aligned to A Healthier Wales and prudent healthcare principles.
* Drive clinical excellence and innovation, ensuring pharmacy services evolve to support modern models of care and deliver measurable improvements in quality, safety and efficiency.
* Lead pharmacy services within the Unscheduled Care Group.
* Provide compassionate and inclusive leadership to staff; share accountability within the Medicines Management Senior Management Team (SMT) for delivering patient safety, financial targets, efficiencies, workforce planning and service delivery to improve safe patient flow.
* Provide oversight and assurance for the delivery of pharmacy workforce training, development and transformation.
Qualifications & Experience
Senior healthcare professional with leadership experience in providing operational pharmacy services to a health board. Proven track record delivering high quality, safe, well‑governed, productive and cost‑effective services aligned to organisational strategic objectives.
Welsh Language Proficiency
Welsh Skills Desirable: speaking & listening at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above.
