What you'll be doing

As a Packaging Technologist in the No7 Beauty Company you will work in a busy and cross-functional team to deliver new and innovative packaging solutions. You will help create amazing products by developing design ideas into packaging that delights our customers, manages cost effectively and maintains our sustainability standards. The role uses a mixture of packaging technical knowledge, high levels of organisation and a creative eye to develop packaging from concept to manufacture.

This role reports into the Packaging Manager for No7 Gifting, and is part of a team of Packaging Technologists supporting the iconic No7 brand.


Responsibilities

* Accountable for delivering the packaging, proofing, design roll out and artwork activities for our key brands - No7, Soap & Glory, Liz Earle and Botanics.
* Uses packaging technical expertise to innovate, optimise, challenge thinking and ensure the best packaging is developed for the No7Beauty Company brands.
* Manages packaging design to optimise cost, quality and technical feasibility.
* Carries out detailed technical testing to ensure the packaging is robust and will survive manufacture, distribution and consumer use.
* Ensures sustainability is at the heart of our brands' packaging development.
* Organisation and involvement in fast-moving projects.
* Accountable for quality of data accuracy including key manufacturing and specification documentation.
* Conducts all necessary due diligence and is accountable for identifying and managing packaging technical risks.


What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

Ideally you would have a background or education in Packaging Design, Product Design or Materials Science.

* Proven track record of developing packaging from design concept to market, ideally within FMCG environment.
* Excellent knowledge of key packaging technologies, manufacturing, print processes and artwork.
* Drive to manage risk, priorities and timings for complex technical projects.
* Strong Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Passion to build relationships with a wide range of people.
* Present information in a clear, logical and structured way.
