Job Responsibilities
1. Review and implement production schedules daily, planning production processes by considering staffing levels, materials required, and machinery to meet customer orders.
2. Organize and implement staffing plans to achieve production efficiencies and meet targets.
3. Control labor costs by effectively planning holidays, staff rotas, and skilled staff in collaboration with the Production Manager.
4. Manage components and packaging materials for daily production.
5. Address department-related issues related to process and quality arising from customer complaints and audits.
6. Ensure proper utilization of the company's operating system (e.g., AX Dynamics, Autocoding, Sparc Systems) to meet operational requirements.
7. Monitor yield and waste by overseeing raw materials and packaging use, implementing stock rotation and control measures.
8. Accurately complete production documents such as production records, wash tanks, start-up checks, knife control, scale checks, and metal detections.
9. Implement and monitor the company's standards on Food Safety and Health & Safety, and investigate non-conformances.
10. Foster a harmonious working environment by managing grievances and addressing non-performance through counseling and disciplinary procedures.
11. Lead by example by adhering to company policies, food safety, and health & safety standards.
12. Undertake other duties as necessary within the scope of the role.
Minimum Requirements
* Fluent in both verbal and written English.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Level 3 Food Safety certification.
* Excellent IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience using an MRP system such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar.
