We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities, fostering a supportive environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall health.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
* Drive patients to appointments or social activities when required.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
* Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing team.
* Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Knowledge of IT systems for documenting care plans and patient information is advantageous.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting patients.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
* A caring attitude and commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the care home or home care service.
