You will have the opportunity to be involved in many projects within the MSK and Orthopaedic services.
You will contribute to the further development of the service in addition to undertaking a busy, variable caseload in an outpatient setting which accepts referrals from both Consultants and GPs, including hydrotherapy and Community Clinics.
The Inpatient cover will provide the opportunity to work with both elective and trauma caseloads.
One rotation is split with early supported discharge of NWB orthopaedic patients and outpatients.
There will be supervisory responsibilities for a Band 5 physiotherapist and students, including appraisals, teaching, and clinical support in managing demanding caseloads. You will also have roles linked to the Band 7 line managers to facilitate your managerial and leadership skills. We offer an excellent in-service training program. The MSK Therapies team benefits from a strong Band 8 strategic and clinical leadership team, supporting the MSK physiotherapy team to deliver optimal patient care.
You will be expected to work 1 weekend in 5 as part of our MSK/Orthopaedic weekend service, excluding respiratory on-call duties.
We consider a competency-based developmental position for a Band 5 working towards a Band 6 role; the candidate should be qualified for at least one year and have completed one MSK rotation.
