Job Description Job title: Spa & Leisure Receptionist/Attendant. Position reports to: Assistant Spa & Leisure manager and Head of Spa & Leisure. Located: Aldwark Manor Estate, Aldwark, Nr. Alne, York, YO611UF Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Salary: 21 & over £12.30 Benefits: Apprenticeship and other development opportunities. Share of Tronc. Hospitality Rewards platform. Food and Beverage Discount when dining at our hotel of 20% Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings. Over the last few years, the Hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar and all public areas. This year we will starting our new and opulent spa and state-of-the-art leisure areas as well as our new meeting rooms and additional 24 bedrooms. The leisure facilities opening later this year with the new spa, bedrooms and meeting space opening 2026 Our values: “Never be ordinary” in our product, quality or people with the aim of being “Always Aldwark” in meeting our guest’s and team expectations. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Team member who can join us in this very exciting NEW Position to join our team at Aldwark Manor Estate. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the industry and is a teamwork and drives for the best in everything that you do. Main purpose of the role : To ensure that the Spa & Leisure guests are welcomed to the business, while ensuring that the Spa & Leisure areas are kept to the highest standards. Main duties include : To ensure that all Residents and Leisure guests always receive a high level of customer service from pre arrival until they depart. Daily assisting the with Spa reception with guest meet and greet, spa orientation, Spa & Leisure guests check in and out, taking payment, alongside internal customer enquiries on service and bookings. To ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness in the Leisure area. To adhere to the opening and closing procedures of the department. Assist in the cleaning of the department and light maintenance of the equipment. To always maintain personal hygiene standards. Assist in the monitoring and control of the pool in relation to standards given in the maintenance manual To be responsible for handling cash and cashing up at the end of a shift. Be able to carry out both pool and spa tests and take corrective action where necessary Provide refreshments to day spa, hotel, and Leisure guests within the Spa. Maintaining an adequate provision of towels, robes, and slippers throughout the day for all day spa guests and Hotel residents. Regular changing rooms checks for cleanliness and making sure the used towel drops are regularly emptied and used laundry taken to the in-house laundry. Pools side checks, checking for cleanliness and all equipment is running correctly.
