Duties
* Metallurgical testing.
* Test bar failure recovery – Working with metallurgist team for actions
* Foundry melt release and charge correction
* Supporting in arranging 3 rd party Witnessing Co ordination
* Annual calibration and servicing of laboratory equipment
* Software development on systems to monitor testing and sub‑contract
* Managing material bookings.
* Become conversant with software and systems on timelines and testing
* Chemical analysis
* PMI Trained
* Support Incoming material control
Charge correction Skills & Experience
* Practical laboratory experience
* An awareness of Health and Safety issues in a working environment
* Science background – A level upwards
* Good working knowledge of manufacturing, Word and Excel Good numeracy and literacy are essential skills.
Candidates need to be well motivated, good team players with good communication skills and problem‑solving skills.
An excellent salary is on offer £14-£17 depending on experience. You will work 37 hours a week. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum plus Bank Holidays. Great benefits are on offer including: a highly competitive pension and life cover.
