Join to apply for the Relief Care Supervisor role at McCarthy Stone at our prestigious Pym Court development in Topsham, Exeter. Built in 2022, Pym Court is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 53 apartments with the over 70’s in mind, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds.
Hourly rate: £15.00 per hour day rate and £12.24 per hour SLEEPING night rate. Plus an additional £1 per hour for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. Hours cover shifts on an as-needed basis, to be discussed with the development Manager. Day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or 16:15 to 09:30. Night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00. Our Relief Care Supervisors sleep between 23:00 and 07:00 providing emergency support only to homeowners during that period.

Responsibilities
* Support the management and smooth running of the community for active and independent older people.
* Help residents live their best lives in elegant private apartments within a beautiful setting, with on-hand assistance as needed.
* Manage the security of the development and oversee the Care and Support teams to safeguard the homeowners’ safety and wellbeing.
* Coordinate and facilitate activities that strengthen the community spirit within the development.
* Lead by example, think on your feet, and continue to grow your skills.
About You / Qualifications
* You will live within easy commuting distance of our estate.
* You will be warm, friendly, organized, and self-motivated with experience in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
* Preferably hold a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification; alternative qualifications and relevant experience will be considered.
* Willing to take on responsibility for the security of the development and the safety and wellbeing of homeowners, and to oversee the Care and Support teams.
* Able to coordinate activities to strengthen community spirit within the development.
* Driven to grow skills, lead by example, and think on your feet.
* Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
