Secondary TA – Waterlooville, Hampshire
Start Date: Immediate / After October Half Term | Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent or Ad-Hoc Basis

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants (TAs) to work in mainstream schools in Waterlooville. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy helping pupils achieve their best, as well as university students who are eager to gain experience in a professional school environment.
As a Secondary TA, you will play an important role in the classroom by assisting teachers, supporting pupils with their learning, and helping to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere. With both permanent and ad-hoc opportunities available, this position offers flexibility and valuable experience within education.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and academic progress.
* Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Help pupils develop study skills and access the curriculum.
* Adapt effectively to different subjects and classroom routines.
Requirements for Secondary Teaching Assistants (TAs):
* CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or similar.
* A degree in Education or a similar field.
* A genuine passion for supporting young learners.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils.
* Previous experience in education, childcare, or youth work is desirable.
* A flexible, proactive, and motivated attitude.
* Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply.
