Lead Project Manager - Major Projects
Location
West Yorkshire / Hybrid Working (1‑2 days in the office a week). Relocating to Leeds (LS10) from Summer, 2026.
Work Type
Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
* Lead a £25m project development budget over the next 5 years
* Drive projects from feasibility through to delivery
* Deliver high‑quality regulatory submissions to Ofwat/RAPID to secure key approvals
* Manage multi‑disciplinary teams and strategic delivery partners to create excellent working relationships for successful project delivery
* Deal with contractual and commercial challenges while providing accurate forecasting and reporting on project performance
* Represent Yorkshire Water in joint Strategic Resource Option (SRO) projects with other water companies
* Champion innovation and continuous improvement across the DPC programme
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Business Administration, Management, IT, Engineering, Construction)
* Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in the development phase of major projects in the built environment with a focus on water, building or civil engineering sectors
* Professional certifications such as APM or PRINCE2 in the PPM environment
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
* Experience in procurement and administration of design and construction contracts on behalf of a client
* Proficiency in MS Office and project management techniques and methods
