Job Overview
We’re looking for a Project Engineer with a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to join our team at Pump Supplies Ltd. You’ll play a key role in delivering minor works schemes across Water projects throughout the Southern England. Ideally, you’ll be based in or near Bodmin, with travel to multiple sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Support project lifecycle from planning to handover
* Assist in developing and managing construction documentation
* Coordinate with subcontractors during investigation, design, and build phases
* Facilitate communication between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
* Attend and contribute to design, progress, and site meetings
* Monitor project progress and participate in programme reviews
* Support financial reporting and documentation
About You
* Relevant engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
* Effective time management and prioritisation
* Adaptable and resilient under pressure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Open to learning and continuous improvement
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
* ONC / HNC / B.Eng or NVQ equivalent in engineering
* CSCS card and EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene)
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable
* IOSH or CITB SMSTS
* Experience in water/sewage industry
* Familiarity with Water Industry Standards
Technical Skills
* Pump and control system selection
* Understanding of clean and wastewater processes
* Review of RAMS and lift plans
Soft Skills
* Strong communication (email, phone, face‑to‑face)
* Positive attitude and team support
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
