Facilities Lead – Barnard Castle, UK
Position Summary
You will lead the onsite IFM (integrated facilities management team) at Barnard Castle, working closely with engineering, operations and suppliers. You will manage the overall delivery, driving facility and cleaning standards across the site, ensuring safety, environmental and engineering compliance. Responsibilities
* Lead the IFM Programme at the Barnard Castle site, ensuring effective delivery and high standards across all business units.
* Manage budgets, schedules and scope to meet performance, safety and quality targets.
* Select, manage and coordinate contractors and suppliers for safe delivery.
* Coach and develop the IFM team to build capability.
* Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental and engineering standards.
Core Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in facilities management or related discipline.
* Strong experience in facilities management within a complex environment.
* Strong contractor and supplier management experience with contract oversight.
* Clear communicator with stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
* Experience in budget management.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or other highly regulated manufacturing settings.
* Experience with site master planning and long‑term facilities strategy.
* Knowledge of environmental and energy reduction measures for utilities.
* Experience coaching and developing engineers in a matrix environment.
